Helping Another Family in Need
The Holiday Seasons….
For some, the Holidays may not be as full of joy as perhaps they should be. We were recently introduced to the Ockerlander Family, who’s son Landon, has been recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
When we started the Eric Scherbarth Research Foundation, it was not only to raise money to help fund blood cancer research, but it was to try and do our part to help local blood cancer patients and their family’s. We certainly understand the financial strain that cancer treatment can have on a family, and once we learned that friends and family of Landon had started a gofundme, we jumped on the opportunity to do what we could to help. The Foundation donated $5,000 to Landon, which helped the family reach their goal of $10,000!
We certainly understand that our donation will not solve immediate problems, but we do hope that it can help turn things in the right direction. For those of you that would also like to donate to Landon and his family please check out Landon’s story on Facebook and gofundme:
